I can't believe people are complaining about Rockstar giving money out in the comments of that article. What is wrong with people? I swear some people will complain about anything they can.
"Having $500,000 will make me not want to do the missions because I already have money". I can tell you for certain if anyone else thinks having $500,000 will make you not want to do missions; you're wrong!! $500,000 is an extremely low amount of cash to have in this game, after you were to buy 1 expensive car and do some mods to it, you'll be crying for more money. It doesn't take long at all to spend that amount. Hell, I have 1.7 million the other day and within 5 minutes I was back down to $40,000.
I think it's good they they are giving anyone who played in October the money, it will help the people that bought nice cars or apartments and then lost them. Fortunately I wasn't one of those people, but it's still a nice gesture by them; they're acknowledging the fact that the game wasn't as ready as they thought it was.

First off, Ive enjoyed the game since release, and I still do. But Im starting to feel like the candle´s burning out. Why? Well, you buy a 400K house, then you get a car, MAYBE two, mod them up. And then what? Just make money? I know you can buy planes, choppers, boats and so on..but contrary to the car they have no "real" use when it comes to missions or free roam.
What would be great though is making it possible to buy property and manage that property. Maybe even be able to upgrade the properties. And your house as well, being able to change/upgrade its contents. Want a gangbang-bed? Buy it. Want to remodel your kitchen? Do it.
This game has so much potential since it is perfect for add-ons (and thereby perfect for bugs as well i guess).

Now that they've gotten the connection/save issues more or less worked out they'll start pushing out new content like the heists and crew vs crew stuff. Then later in the year we get the race and mission editor which is when it will really flourish.
